2006 Award for Excellence Recipients
Pamela G. Dickerhoof has been the Director of Volunteer Services for Lovelace Health System in Albuquerque, New Mexico since 1979, and has been an ASDVS Member for twenty-seven years. Her job responsibilities have included managing the Volunteer programs and being the liaison to the Lovelace Auxiliary. She currently is the Divisional Director of Volunteers Services that includes four major medical centers and a rehabilitation hospital.

Pam has been active member of ASDVS since 1979, serving on the Membership Committee for five years, ASDVS Board, 1994-1996 Chair of Legislative Committee, 1994 Chair of National Education Committee, 1995 Conference and Chair of Communications Committee, 1996. Pam also served as President of ASDVS in 1999.

She received the Program for Professional Achievement from ASDVS Accomplished Level, 1992 & Fellow Level, 1997 and Certified Administrator of Volunteer Services (CAVS) in 2000. She served as Chair of 2004-2005 ASDVS Committee and authored “Guidelines for a Volunteer Department in a For Profit Health Care Facility” which is on the ASDVS Website for Members.

In addition to her work on the national level, Pam has been active in the Volunteer Administration field on the local, and state levels. Pam Dickerhoof is the role model for healthcare volunteer management. She has consistently represented ASDVS as a consummate professional.
