State Auxiliary Leaders


The State Auxiliary Leaders (SALs) are the Presidents and Presidents Elect of each state hospital volunteer association.

As SALs, they are responsible for:

  • Guiding their respective states' volunteer programs.
  • Leading effective volunteer involvement in grassroots advocacy, by strengthening the advocacy agenda among members to increase action, awareness and involvement.
  • Identifying and developing educational material and programs that meet the needs of their members.
  • Enhancing communication and closer working relationships between members and their healthcare governing boards, management, and medical staff.
