VA’s Veterans Health Administration is divided into 22 areas called VISNs. Each VISN has a VA Voluntary Service (VAVS) Program Manager that acts as a liaison between VAVS field staff and VA Central Office Voluntary Service.

The VAVS VISN Liaison’s primary responsibility is the facilitation of communication within their respective networks. They assist in compiling and disseminating data that has been requested by the facility Director, Network Director, and/or the Director, Voluntary Service Office.

The VAVS VISN Liaison’s also provide information and guidance to VAVS Program Managers within their Network.

Each VISN Liaison is a key partner in the successful management of one of the largest volunteer programs in our nation’s government.
